Here’s What to Expect With Our New COVID-19 Protocols
June 26th, 2020
Great news! COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are slowly being lifted. That means places such as Cornerstone Family Dentistry are finally welcoming patients again. To help keep everyone safe, we’ve set up some new protocols, which we’ll share with you.
COVID-19 Screening
Shortly after booking your appointment, we will update your contact info. Then, we will be sending you a COVID-19 screening the day before you come in for your appointment.
What If You Have COVID-19 Symptoms
If you happen to experience any symptoms that are attributed to potentially having COVID-19 within two weeks of your appointment, give us a call. The sooner, the better!
Once You Arrive at Your Appointment
When you arrive at your appointment, don’t jump out of the car just yet. Shoot us a text, letting us know that you have arrived.
Wear a Face Mask
Before you enter our office, please wear a mask, covering up those pearly whites. If someone is accompanying you to the appointment, let them know to wear a face mask or cloth face covering as well.
Use Hand Sanitizer
Once you’ve entered our office, apply some of the hand sanitizer we have in abundant stock. This goes for anyone coming into the office.
Receive a Temperature Check
As part of your COVID-19 screening when you arrive, we will conduct a quick, non-contact temperature check, making sure you don’t have a fever.
Don’t Forget to Rinse
Your hygienist will ask you to do a pre-procedural rinse before your appointment with a mouthwash containing hydrogen peroxide.
Enhanced Clean Air
We have added HEPA UV air filtration systems to each treatment room to enhance the air we breathe.
Follow Our One Person Per Patient Policy
To limit the number of people in our waiting area at any given time, we request that there only be one parent, guardian or essential person per patient.
Other Safety Measures We’ll Have
We will also be keeping our waiting areas free of any high-contact objects, such as toys and magazines.
All treatment rooms will be enclosed, with doors closed during the length of the appointment.
Also, your dental hygienists will be wearing more enhanced personal protection equipment.
Let’s All Do Our Part
Thanks to these new safety protocols, we can all be part of the solution to flattening the curve and getting through the COVID-19 pandemic. So, go ahead and make an appointment! We would love to see you smile. Let’s all stay safe, in here, out there, and everywhere!
